A37 Beginning Wheel Throwing

Level 0 – This class is for the true beginner with no prior experience in the medium.

We will explore the fundamentals of making pottery and provide the perfect introduction to this medium. Centering, throwing, trimming, and glazing will be the core focus, with an emphasis on learning how to create fundamental forms: bowls and cylinders. We will also explore additional techniques such as making mug handles and creating surface texturing and more.
