Kenny Idleman

Instructor
Kenny Idleman certainly has various credentials. Multiple institutions, notably Pikes Peak Community (now State) College and Colorado State University-Fort Collins, have given him high quality paper sent in very thick envelopes, although one was admittedly lost in the mail. Currently teaching jewelry and metalsmithing at Pikes Peak State College, Kenny has finally completed the long-con, meticulously and advantageously manipulating his way into a career in arts over this past decade. Kenny constantly questions why so many people keep giving him their money to tell them how they’re doing things wrong, though he will gladly continue doing so! In regard to his work, Kenny takes particular interest in the visceral physical movement of metal (i.e. raising vessels, chasing and repousse, synclastic and anticlastic forming, etc…), though he can surely learn you up on a wide range of other super cool techniques with equally impressive names. Beyond that Kenny is passionate about the sweeter things in life, namely baked goods, fine literature, not so fine literature (pretty much anything with a good story), artiodactyla, wearing coordinating outfits with his partner, and living vicariously through his many children. When he isn’t caught up in the quotidian you can find Kenny doing something highly sophisticated and cultured and stuff. Kenny is a lover by nature, a Gemini, and a true Hufflepuff.
