M1 Tuned-In: The Soundtrack of Your Life

Two wildly fun, life-changing days with very cool people and intriguing dialogue offer life-altering insights and deep music listening from Bach to Rock. Explore how six human behavior patterns (archetypes)—the victim, wanderer, warrior, caregiver, innocent, and magician—aim to run your life’s show. Discover how to choose music to positively direct that show to the outcome you desire.

Imagine directing the music you love to gain clarity, wisely read, and respond to difficult situations and people, learn to hold onto joy when life is on a roll, and shape your state of mind, health, and even relationships. Yes, music can support it all! Lunch, refreshments, and supplies are included.

Partner Wheel Throwing

This workshop is meant for a pair to enjoy a unique evening of creative clay constructions! You and your partner will learn the basics of pottery wheel throwing as you create and decorate your very own clay vessels to cherish for years to come. Sushi & Clay

Join us for an immersive sushi-making experience led by two of Bon Appetit's finest sushi chefs! Participants will learn how to prepare three dishes: tuna sashimi/nigiri, a spicy tuna roll, and a California roll. When it's time for the taste test, participants will pick a unique sushi platter and mini soy sauce dish made by CC clay artists to plate up their masterpieces and later take home. Ages 14 and up

Carnival (Summer Music Festival Class)

Students will create illustrations for the presentation of The Carnival of the Animals at the Colorado College Summer Music Festival. Drawing skills are required as well as a love of making art. We will focus on creating the cast of joyful animal characters inspired by Camille Saint Saens musical composition. A roaring lion, a kangaroo wearing pajamas, a stately swan, and squealing donkey are a few of the fun-loving characters we will create. While the orchestra performs the musical composition and a narrator reads the story, the student's illustrations will be shown on a screen for the audience to view. This is a unique opportunity for young creatives and their families to enjoy. Ages 8-12
