A81 Wellness: Keep Cool, an Intro to Cold Connections
Level A – All levels welcome.
You will learn the benefits of staying cool in the face of jewelry-making and explore various introductory techniques and applications of the cold-connection, riveting, in your jewelry. Whether you are working with materials that cannot endure heat, expressing aesthetic preference, or making a necessary functional decision, rivets can serve many purposes. We will learn the basics of standard, flush, and raised-head rivets, and then apply them to complete (at least) one finished piece (pin or pendant, most likely). There is a materials fee of $35-$80 due to the instructor on the first day of class.
Please note: By registering for this class you are agreeing to adhere to the Fine Art Center Bemis School of Art’s publicity waiver, medical waiver, and other general policies.
