A69 Mess Around and Find Out

Level A – All levels welcome.

Grab your water-soluble crayons, stencils, and baby wipes to create colorful, one-of-a-kind abstract art by painting and strategically wiping your way to masterpiece status. Choose to go big with one stunning piece or create several smaller designs perfect for greeting cards. With Sharpies for final details, you will learn that some of the best art comes from embracing the mess. Leave with gallery-worthy artwork (or a stack of cards that will impress) and newfound confidence in your creative process! There is a $30 materials fee due to the instructor on the first day of class.

The Artist’s Way II

This class is a continuation of The Artist's Way I: Drawing Basics. We will continue to build on your foundational skills. If you did not take part I, the instructor will review previous drawing ands compositional devices. This class will include sketching from life, working from photographs, watercolor values, color theory studies, watercolor techniques, and stencil building techniques. There is a material fee of $5 for returning students and $30 for new students due to the instructor on the first day of class. Ages 16-Adult

Bemis Community Printshop: Block Printmaking

Please join us for a lively fun day learning how to do block-printmaking. We will be transferring an image to a linoleum block then carving and printing. We will walk away with multiple prints using 1-3 colors. Please bring a sack lunch for 12-12:30 p.m. for a lunch break. There is a material fee of $25 due to the instructor on the first day of class. Craft Lab: Artful Greeting Cards

Create a unique, small work of art on watercolor card stock that can be used as an inspirational card for giving or keeping! You will play with a variety of materials, ideas, and perhaps inspirational writing to create an original keepsake that will be cherished by the recipient. Unleash your creativity and enjoy a morning of playful drawing and painting. Supplies will be provided. Ages 16-Adult
