A139 Wellness: Writing Hope at the End of the World

Level A – All levels welcome.
The world can feel dire sometimes, with poetry often being the perfect vessel to commiserate! But this course aims to move poetry away from the morose and into a space of optimism and endurance. We will explore numerous examples of poetry that, while still acknowledging an often-foreboding reality, chooses to find hope in the darkness. Through various prompts and exercises you’ll work to create your own poem, which you will be able to share (if you choose) in a workshop setting in the second week of the course.
