A63 Wellness: Chase the Blues Away: Chasing and Repousse

Level II – This class is for those who have taken at least one class in the medium. Students should be comfortable with the basics of how to use and manipulate the medium.

Looking to build your metalsmithing repertoire with a process found by many to be cathartic in its repeated precision? Then come learn the sculptural technique of chasing and repousse in this workshop and maybe you can chase some of your blues away. Over the course of our time together we will learn the basics of working with pitch, chasing hammers, and punches to create personalized chased and repoussé projects in copper (or metal of your choosing).
