A93 The Belle Epoque

Level A – All levels welcome.

An art journal, bound in class together, will be used to create pages inspired by art from the iconic turn of the century era. A bit of art history exploring Alphonse Mucha, William Morris, and Gustav Klimt combined with mixed media techniques inspired by these artists will be the focus. The Belle Epoque pages will include layered painting techniques based on textile motifs from the era, cyanotype nature prints, and collage. This class encourages the discovery of personal style, intuitive painting, and playful expression.
