A53 Introduction to Wheel Throwing
Level 0 – This class is for the true beginner with no prior experience in the medium.
Whether you’re brand new to the wheel or looking to refresh your skills, this condensed class is the perfect entry point into the art of wheel throwing. You will be introduced to the essential techniques needed to create functional pottery from start to finish. Learn how to center clay, pull walls, trim your work, and glaze your final pieces—all in a supportive studio environment. By the end of the class, you’ll complete several pieces (cups, bowls, or cylinders) and gain a strong foundation in the ceramic process.
