Sky Frank

Instructor
Sky or (@skythepyro) was born and raised in California, where theater, music, dance, and art of all kinds shaped their world. Now living in Colorado with their wife and dog, they have found a fiery new passion: glassblowing and lampwork. Early 2025, Sky walked into the local Elev8 Premier studio for the first time with zero experience — and has since logged about 100 hours behind the torch, proving how quickly curiosity can turn into obsession.
Sky’s glass journey started with playful creations inspired by humor and body-positivity, but their work has quickly evolved into a focus on functional art. They make everything from pendants, necklaces, glass chains, and jewelry. Their work balances humor, boldness and functionality.
As an teacher, Sky’s goal is to demystify the glassblowing process and show how anyone, regardless of experience, can step up to the torch and create something meaningful. Their journey from complete beginner to dedicated maker in only a few months illustrates the accessibility and joy of this medium, and they are passionate about inspiring others to find that same spark of creativity in glass.
