As a Colorado Springs native, Melissa has always had an appreciation for Colorado beauty. After completing her Art Education studies at Colorado State University, Melissa became an elementary school art teacher. After a few years of teaching students to explore their curiosity in art, Melissa has decided to explore a master’s program at Colorado State University. This program is a master’s in art leadership in culture. Through this degree and her work in the teaching field, she is hoping to help create confident leaders in the art fields. Melissa explores nature, curiosity, and leadership in the arts. She wants ALL students to feel a sense of success and accomplishment from each class they attend.
