With 17 years of diverse art education experience, I’m excited to join the Bemis School of Art community. My teaching journey began teaching middle school art in northern New Jersey for 4 years, and then 13 years of elementary art at multiple schools in downtown Austin, TX. With a Master’s in Art Education from Texas Tech University, I prioritize fostering an inclusive environment and crafting a culturally rich curriculum that delves into the intention and the technical, aesthetic, and crafting practices of art makers from various perspectives. I tailor instruction to meet individual student needs and foster a supportive, collaborative learning atmosphere through restorative practices.
