Beth Meyerson Sterkel
After retiring from over 25 years in health and human services administration in California, Beth is now able to dedicate her time to her right brain passions: art and cooking. Beth has been a gourd artist for over 15 years, including being a member and instructor in a cooperative art gallery in Midland, Texas. After leaving Texas in 2017, Beth, her husband Mark, their sheltie Skye, and a huge orange tabby named Jasper, moved to Fort Collins. There, she taught gourd and paper-folding classes at the Senior Center through the City Recreation Program. Since moving to Mexico part-time in 2020, Beth discovered a new passion – mosaic art with authentic Mexican ceramic tiles. Now a part-time resident of Woodland Park, Beth hopes to share her love of arts and crafts with her new neighbors in the greater Colorado Springs area. She promises that her classes will be relaxed, fun, and perfect for beginners!
