YA19 Partners in Art: Sugar Skulls
Coined by Bemis instructor Barbara Dimond, Partners in Art courses are designed for family members to enjoy the process of artmaking together. Courses are priced per pair, but additional youth students can be added upon request.
You will learn a brief history of sugar skull making, creating altars, and the significance of the holiday of Día de Muertos. Learn how sugar skulls are cast and then get to make your own to bring home and celebrate the holiday. All decorating materials will be provided including royal icing, sequins, and more. Supplies will be provided.
