Y9 Introduction to Abstract Art
Introducing children to abstract art is a wonderful way to encourage creativity and independent thinking. Exploring shapes, colors, and feelings teaches them a unique way to expand their imaginations, something they already gravitate towards in their youth. To experiment with color creates strong building blocks of social-emotional understandings, while also paving a way to understand the emotions embedded in art. Unconventional shape making and layering expands the mind to wonder about things that are different from what they know, to encourage not only learning, but questioning and curiosity. Big words aside, abstraction is so much fun! Supplies will be provided.
