Y30 Common Threads: Fabric Painting, Kinusaiga style 絹彩画
Get ready to dive into the vibrant world of Kinusaiga, a captivating Japanese textile art that turns fabric scraps into stunning no-sew “paintings!” You will have the opportunity to be hands-on, and learn a fresh, modern twist on the traditional technique—using foam board and your own meaningful fabrics to create richly textured, personal works of art. Whether you are transforming a beloved shirt, that gorgeous scarf you cannot part with, your dad’s old work shirt, or your mom’s favorite blouse, this is a fun, creative way to upcycle and make something truly unforgettable. Supplies will be provided.
