Y19 Intro to Watercolor Painting

Discover the joy of watercolor painting in this fun and engaging course designed just for kids! Young artists will explore watercolor techniques through step-by-step instruction, hands-on practice, and creative expression. You will learn how to use washes, blending, color mixing, and brush control to bring your imagination to life. Throughout the class, we will complete three beautiful paintings. Supplies will be provided.

Wheel Thrown Jars

In this course we will explore the fundamentals of making jars. Intermediate techniques will be learned and implemented, such as throwing off the hump, splitting rims, and creating knobs by trimming or throwing off the lid itself. Three main types of jars will be demonstrated and all three may be made depending on the student's interest; that being: closed form jars, jars with a flange and jars that sit into a split rim. Other techniques and forms may be explored for those wanting to learn more. Supply list online. Ages 16-Adult

Delight in Surface Decoration

Come join the fun of handbuilding ceramic forms for a specific purpose. Slab rolling, extruding, and found forms will be used to build a variety of functioning ceramic ware. The final phase will teach the technique of transferring underglaze images to complete everyone's art piece. After this class is finished, you can set a table full of delightful pieces highlighting your own artistic statements! Supply list online. Ages 16-Adult
