BCP2 Bemis Community Printshop: Block Printed Holiday Cards

In collaboration with the Colorado College Art Department, the Bemis School of Art is thrilled to launch the Bemis Community Printshop — a new space for creative exploration in Colorado Springs! Our goal is to foster a welcoming community where artists of all levels can access professional printmaking facilities and feel inspired to experiment and create. Begin your journey with one of our hands-on workshops — a prerequisite that opens the door to affordable open studio sessions, where you can keep exploring a variety of printmaking techniques at your own pace.
Level A – All levels welcome.
In this fun holiday workshop you’ll learn the magic of reductive block printing, a technique where you progressively carve a single linoleum block to create a two-color design. Block printing is fun for everyone, regardless of drawing skill or art experience! You’ll leave with ten beautiful hand printed holiday cards and envelopes! This is a supportive and fun beginner-friendly workshop. Optional: Please bring a simple, high-contrast 4″” x 6″” (or smaller) image to print for your cards. Supplies will be provided.
Please note: By registering for this class you are agreeing to adhere to the Fine Art Center Bemis School of Art’s publicity waiver, medical waiver, and other general policies.
