A86 Introduction to Letterpress Printing
Level 0 – This class is for the true beginner with no prior experience in the medium.
Join us at The Press at Colorado College for a hands-on, intensive letterpress workshop for beginners. This workshop will provide a complete overview of the process of letterpress printing, including setting metal type by hand, playing with wood type, and pressure printing on our antique cylinder presses and provisional presses. You’ll come away with a variety of postcards and broadsides that we’ve designed and printed as a group, as well as some experimental pieces of your design.
