A59 Craft Lab: Rosette Beading with Lane Stitch

Join us every second Saturday morning of each month for a welcoming, hands-on workshop designed to spark creativity and connect community. The Craft Lab series offers a rotating lineup of engaging, beginner-friendly classes where you’ll learn a new craft in just a couple hours — no prior experience needed. These crafty mornings are all about slowing down, making something meaningful, fueling your creativity, and meeting new people.
Level 0 – This class is for the true beginner with no prior experience in the medium.
Learn the traditional lane stitch technique to create a beaded rosette, a form that can be turned into a pin, barrette, or embellishment for clothing and accessories. Seed beads—tiny glass beads that have traveled widely across the world—are prized for their color, versatility, and ability to bring intricate designs to life. In this class you’ll learn how to work with them step by step, and by the end you’ll have your own finished rosette and the skills to continue exploring beadwork on your own. There is a material fee of $10 due to the instructor on the first day of class.
Please note: By registering for this class you are agreeing to adhere to the Fine Art Center Bemis School of Art’s publicity waiver, medical waiver, and other general policies.
