A53 Animal Tiles in Glass
Level 0 – This class is for the true beginner with no prior experience in the medium.
Try out the colorful medium of enameling (glass fused to metal at high heat) by sifting powdered glass through stencils to create decorative animal tiles on copper. You will be introduced to how to prepare copper and use transparent and opaque enamels in simple designs and endless combinations. You will leave with several enameled tiles that can be hung separately or mounted together. There will be a 30-minute lunch break, so please bring food and drink. There is a material fee of $20 due to the instructor on the first day of class.
