A45 Fanciful Jars

Level II – This class is for those who have taken at least one class in the medium. Students should be comfortable with the basics of how to use and manipulate the medium.

Throw small to throw tall! Create a tall thrown jar by stacking multiple shorter cylinders together. You will connect two to three short cylinders to build the jar and then learn to throw a lid. Once the jar and lid are thrown, modify the form through carving or adding sculptural elements. Express yourself with your own fanciful jar! Glazing tall forms will be taught.
