A44 Wheel Thrown Jars
Level II – This class is for those who have taken at least one class in the medium. Students should be comfortable with the basics of how to use and manipulate the medium.
Join us as we will explore the fundamentals of making jars. Intermediate techniques will be learned and implemented, such as throwing off the hump, splitting rims, and creating knobs by trimming or throwing off the lid itself. Three main types of jars will be demonstrated: closed form jars, jars with a flange, and jars that sit into a split rim. Other techniques and forms may be explored for those wanting to learn more.
