A40 Introduction to Pastel Techniques

Level 0 – This class is for the true beginner with no prior experience in the medium.

Have you been mystified by pastels? Pastels are pure pigment that generate intense colors that no other art medium can match. The focus will be on the use of soft, chalk sticks versus oil or pencils. Participants will learn through demonstration and hands-on creating the variety in which pastels, papers and tools combine to create the richest artworks imaginable.
