A52 Printing Fabric with Natural Dye

Level 0 – This class is for the true beginner with no prior experience in the medium.
Learn the processes and methods used to create patterns and designs on the surface of fabric. We will teach you how to use thickened mordants and thickened dye, how to make and use resists and introduce methods such as stamping, deconstructed silk-screening and monoprinting to apply the dyes to the fabric. It will take place over the lunch period, so please be sure to bring along something to eat and drink for the duration of the class. There is a material fee of $80 due to the instructor on the first day of class.
