Join us for this inspiring course where we’ll dive into the timeless technique of painting with tempera on a plaster surface—echoing the methods of the old masters, but adapted for a modern, small-scale format. You’ll be introduced to the materials and techniques needed to create rich, vibrant artwork using joint compound, Styrofoam, and tempera paint. Each class will guide you through hands-on projects, giving you the skills to craft multiple textured and colorful pieces. Along the way, we’ll spark your imagination with creative prompts and collaborative exploration, helping you develop original works of art that are both deeply personal and lasting keepsakes. There is a $5 materials fee due to the instructor on the first day of class.
