Y13 Fundamentals of Drawing
In this fun and creative class, young artists will build a strong foundation in the essentials of drawing. We’ll cover key skills such as line work, proportion, perspective, composition and the use of shading and highlights. Students will apply these techniques in illustration-focused projects including drawing from still life, practicing and creating self-portraits, and designing abstract artwork that creatively incorporates their name. Throughout the course, students will learn how to observe and break down complex objects into basic shapes, allowing them to approach any subject with confidence. They’ll also get the chance to explore personal interests by choosing their own subjects to draw. This class is perfect for building fundamental drawing skills, boosting creativity, and fostering a love for illustration! Supplies will be provided.
