Congratulations! Your child has been recommended for the D-11 Talented in Art Program in partnership with the Bemis School of Art for the Fall session. Select 3rd through 5th and 6th through 8th grade students are invited to take a class at the Bemis School of Art or any of the participating satellite schools.
Designed as a unique experience to enhance your student’s knowledge, understanding, and ability to do art. All courses include lecture, interactive projects and visual and written resources. See the attached descriptions below for complete details. Please note, there is no district transportation available, but students are welcome to register for any of the locations. All classes will conclude with the Talented in Art Reception and display scheduled for Friday, December 13 from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. at Bemis School of Art, 818 Pelham Place.
All courses cost $125. The price includes an eight-week course and most necessary art materials, unless otherwise noted. There are limited scholarship funds available for students on free & reduced lunch. Please contact Barb Dunker, District 11 GT Administrative Assistant, at 719-520-2464.
