Saundra Bouchie’s first love has always been the stage. She attended college at NMSU, an after attaining her BA in Theatre, she went to Los Angeles, where she starred in the film “Highways” for HBO. She then returned to her roots and received her MFA in Acting from Temple University. After graduate school, she fell in love with teaching and directing and has been teaching acting to students aged 6-60 for the last 20 years. She ran the theatre department at The Colorado Springs School for a bit and currently teaches Acting One, Voice and Articulation, Playwriting, Dialects, Intro to Film and Theatre Appreciation at PPCC. She occasionally directs shows and sometimes gets to act onstage, but her main focus is on teaching and raising her beautiful daughter. She feels truly blessed to be able to do what she loves for a living and her students bring her great joy.
