Originally from Boston, I grew up in an artists home and community, art and craft were always a huge part of life. While trying to divert from art into politics and history, I naturally fell into a career in the arts. I graduated from Loyola University, Chicago in 2008 with my BA in Ceramics. After college I worked at various teaching centers and a tile company in Chicago, Iowa and Washington State. This will be my first year in Colorado and at Bemis and I can’t be more excited. I feel much of my education came from teaching others.I am currently making functional, colorful and playful home goods. I like to bring in the joy and comforts of animals, allowing me to explore the relationship between drawing, color and the three dimensional form.
