I have been making art my entire life. In fact, I don’t remember a time I wasn’t making something. It’s just part of who I am. As a learner, I have a Bachelor in Fine Arts from Metropolitan State University in Denver and a Master in Arts from the University of Northern Colorado in visual art. As an educator in the public school system, this is my 27th year in a high school. Teaching is a great way to connect with kids and help them find a love for art.
My family is small with one adult daughter, a cat named Marth Stewart, and Spartacus, our English Mastiff. This brings me to the name of my small studio on Colorado Avenue, Mastiff Studios. This little shop serves as my studio area and a sales area for other artisans in the Colorado Springs area. The goal of the business is to create community through the arts.
