Y10 Visual Perception & Color

Learn to create optical illusions, high contrast abstractions, satellite photographs, deepspace nebulas, and dimensionally realistic cityscapes. We will reference the history of perception science and color theory to learn more about the artists who help us understand these discoveries. Explore Leonardo Da Vinci’s use of linear perspective, Isaac Newton’s discovery of light refraction, M.C. Escher’s detailed illusions, the use of lenses in camera obscura, telescopic photography and the color perception of various animals.
