VA20 Virtual: Handbuilding in Clay

***REGISTRATION FOR THIS COURSE HAS CLOSED***
In this virtual course, we will join together from afar as we connect through the experience of ceramics. This beginner’s guide to handbuilding clay features a series of personalized video demonstrations, exciting zoom presentations, and fun class exercises. Traditional and not-so-traditional building, texturing, and glazing techniques will be covered while celebrating individual style and interests. This course includes live Zoom class sessions, live Zoom studio hours, and prerecorded content. A detailed and strict drop-off for firing procedure, complete with size, weight, and amount limits will be provided by the instructor. Please see the supply list below for details on clay and glaze kit pickup information.
*Virtual Course Policy: Students registered for virtual courses are expected to conduct themselves as if participating in an on-site Bemis course. As a virtual course registrant, Bemis asks that you please be aware of your surroundings during virtual class sessions. Ensure your Zoom camera background is simple and clear of any foot traffic, including family members moving in and out of view, bright backlighting, or anything else that would be distracting to fellow students and the instructor. If need be, you can choose to turn off your camera in Zoom and turn it back on when you’re ready.
