Bemis School of Art

Gin was created by a Dutch chemist in the 16th century to cleanse the blood of folks suffering from kidney disorders. The creation was named genièvre, French for juniper, which is what gin is distilled from. Mass production of gin in England soon followed and eventually made its way into American culture where it developed its very own unique history filled with love, passion, lawlessness, bathtubs, secrecy, and now craft! In this “workshop” guest will learn a little history, taste different styles of gin, and experiment to craft a perfect gin cocktail that will add a distinctive twist to this tasting experience.
