BCP1 Bemis Community Printshop – Tetra Pak Printmaking: Intaglio from Recycled Stuff

Developed in collaboration with the Colorado College Art Department, the Bemis Community Printshop is a space for creative exploration in Colorado Springs! Our goal is to foster a welcoming community where artists of all levels can access professional printmaking facilities and feel inspired to experiment and create. Begin your journey with one of our hands-on workshops—a prerequisite that opens the door to affordable, open studio sessions, where you can keep exploring a variety of printmaking techniques at your own pace.

Level A – All levels welcome.

Participants in this class will learn how to utilize hidden silver surfaces in packaging to create intaglio printing plates. This plate will give you the surface to draw, ink, and copy your unique ideas into multiple prints. Packaging provides plenty of surprise with qualities that add to the mystery and richness of your print. Please make sure to wear old clothes, bring an apron, and lunch or snacks. Supplies will be provided.

Please note: By signing up for this class, you are agreeing to the Fine Art Center Bemis School of Art’s General Policies and Participant Assumption of Risk and Release, including assumption of risk, release of liability, medical authorization, rules and supervision, and photo and media consent.
