BAA1 Watercolor Monotypes

Join Colorado College professor of art, Kate Leonard to learn a variety of watercolor monoprinting techniques in this 3 day printmaking intensive.  Create a suite of unique prints on a variety of western and eastern printmaking papers and learn how to use a variety of printing approaches for this non-toxic process. Techniques include: watercolor and aquarelle crayon transfers and ink pen drawing transfers with chine collé. Open to all artists, but particularly synchronous with painters. We will visit the special collections area of the FAC for a print viewing and discuss contemporary as well as historic examples of monoprinting.  Please bring ideas and source imagery along with a willingness to experiment. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting inky or bring an apron or smock. All supplies will be provided.
