AY44 Wheel Thrown Ceramic Tableware

Create your own dinnerware in this fun, introductory course for kids and adults. An overview of wheel throwing will focus on the basic methods of centering, lifting, and shaping clay on a pottery wheel. Once you learn the wheel-throwing process, you’ll design and throw food-functional forms such as bowls, mugs, and plates. Continue to practice creating pieces that match, and making and attaching your handles. A basic food-safe glazing demonstration will conclude the course, allowing you to prepare your favorite pieces for firing in our ceramic kilns.
