A76 Handbuilt Planters

Level II – This class is for those who have taken at least one class in the medium. Students should be comfortable with the basics of how to use and manipulate the medium.

This course will use pinch pot, slab building, and coil handbuilding methods to make unique and expressive vessels for indoor and outdoor plant friends. You will learn how to make functional pieces from start to finish with an emphasis on design processes, including methods of glaze application, various forms of glaze resist, carving, underglaze decoration, slip decoration, and sgraffito.
