A51 Color Reduction Woodcut

Join Colorado College lecturer, Jean Gumpper, to learn the techniques of color reduction woodcut and create an edition of original prints using your drawings, collages, paintings, or photographs as a source. Techniques include paper and wood characteristics, carving, transferring images to blocks, color ink mixings, relief printing from birch plywood blocks, and oil–based inks using a press. All supplies will be provided. Co-sponsored by the Colorado College Art Department.
