A50 Painting Birds Simplified

Level II – This class is for those who have taken at least one class in the medium. Students should be comfortable with the basics of how to use and manipulate the medium.

Who doesn’t love these incredible creatures? We will warm up by painting bird shapes quickly and loosely. Then, concentrate on the actual personality and character of the bird, whether the gaze of an intense raven, the stare of an owl, or the flirty blink of a songbird. Whatever your style, spontaneous or precise, an understanding of the anatomy and attitude is necessary. Create a masterful painting with guidance on technique, inspiring you to continue painting this fascinating subject. We will take a short break for lunch so please bring a drink and something to snack on.
