A47 Enameling: Rhapsody in Blues
Level A – All levels welcome.
Blue enamels, both opaque and transparent, are particularly brilliant and versatile. In this workshop, we’ll create compositions that maximize the various qualities of blue glass fired to metals, including transparent blues on silver foil, mixes and gradations of opaque blues, and overlays of transparents on opaques. This workshop gives beginners a solid grounding in enameling techniques; those more experienced address the design and expressive challenges of a limited palette–blue doesn’t just mean the blues! There is a material fee of $30 due to the instructor on the first day of class.
