A25 Cutting into Color

Matisse traded in his paintbrush for a pair of scissors, and you can, too! Explore various collage techniques inspired by the method artists like Matisse and Motherwell used to layer papers and colorants. With the use of prepared papers as well as paints and an array of pastels, you will create fabulous out-of-the-box compositions. Experience vibrant, textural, and layered color. There is a $28 materials fee for all supplies due to the instructor on the first day of class.

Level 0 – This class is for the true beginner with no prior experience in the medium.

Registration for this course implies acknowledgment and adherence to COVID-19 precautions outlined on the Fine Arts Center visit guideline webpage to participate in in-person courses and workshops.
