A1 Just Scratching the Surface! Sgraffito in Clay

Sgraffito comes from the Italian word for scratch, so just scratch the surface to reveal your design! Explore the exciting visual and textural possibilities of sgraffito decoration on white clay using contrasting and varied colored underglazes. Learn a cool technique to easily transfer design onto 2D and 3D surfaces such as a tumbler and a platter. Look at wood or linoleum block cuts and prints for your textural design inspiration.

Level A – All levels welcome.

Semi-private – limit 5 students
