A50 Sense of Place: Enameling
Level III – This class is for those who have significant experience in the medium – two or more classes or a year or more of experience.
Delve into the colors, textures, landscape, history, and/or community, and your own memories and feelings about sense of place through the medium of enameling. We will consider selected pieces in the Fine Arts Center’s collections and how or whether they reflect this theme in ways that inspire or contrast with our ideas. We will explore not only techniques but also such aspects as multiples vs. single pieces, methods of display, and others, in creating our own evocations of “place” in glass on metal. There is a material fee of $40 due to the instructor on the first day of class.
Please note: By registering for this class you are agreeing to adhere to the Fine Art Center Bemis School of Art’s publicity waiver, medical waiver, and other general policies.
