A66 Metal Embossing: Day of the Dead

The fine art of metal embossing or metal relief, known as repoussé, or repujado, is the working of metal to give volume and depth to decorative designs engraved on metal and crafted by hand. Your class project will be wrap-mounted as a 5″x5″ tile using aluminum; or, if you prefer, your finished artwork can be on your own traditional frame. Several Día de los Muertos (or Day of the Dead) patterns and ideas will be provided! Bring your creativity! Supplies will be provided.
