A78 Introduction to Jewelry: Piercing and Sawing
Level A – All levels welcome.
Introduce yourself to the potential of piercing and sawing in the world of handmade copper and brass jewelry. You’ll learn the fundamental skills of working with the flex shaft, jeweler’s saw, torch, and other hand tools and work to design and fabricate a complete pierced and sawed piece (either belt buckle, pendant, brooch, bolo, or similar). Materials will be available for purchase in person, but please reach out at least seven days prior to class with any additional questions. There will be a lunch break at noon. There is a material fee of $35 due to the instructor on the first day of class.
