A56 Indigo Vats

Level A – All levels welcome.

Learn how to start an indigo vat, or dye pot, using three different recipes. We will explore how to start a pre-reduced, a chemical and a sugar vat and how to maintain each vat. We will use the vats to explore the assorted colors each vat produces and how the different vats affect different fabrics. There will be a 30-minute lunch break, so please bring food and drink. There is a material fee of $25 due to the instructor on the first day of class.
