Food + Function: Ice Cream and Clay

Who doesn’t love a big bowl of ice cream? Join us to learn how to make homemade ice cream and discover about how John Krakauer, founder of Josh & John’s, started the best ice cream parlor in town. When it’s time for the taste test, you’ll get to pick out a custom bowl made by CC clay artists to eat your ice cream out of and take home. This event is great for families and anyone who loves ice cream.

You’ll learn techniques for shaping and detailing your clay skull and discover how to infuse them with personal meaning and artistic flair. Once the skulls are sculpted and dried, we’ll cover finishing touches like painting and decorating, ensuring each piece is a true reflection of your individual style and intentions. These handcrafted skull candle holders will not only illuminate your ofrenda but also stand as lasting tributes to those who have passed, bridging the gap between the past and the present with both beauty and reverence.
