A59 Experimenting in Enamels

Level II – This class is for those who have taken at least one class in the medium. Students should be comfortable with the basics of how to use and manipulate the medium.
In this workshop, we’ll explore some enameling techniques that especially lend themselves to unpredictable results, such as crackle enamels, separation enamels, and others. We’ll discuss the expressive qualities of these techniques and how they might be used in combination with more controlled processes. Come with general ideas for simple compositions and be prepared to play and to be surprised. There is a material fee of $20 due to the instructor on the first day of class.
