A45 Enameling on Granite Ware

Level A – All levels welcome.
Camp dinnerware known as “granite ware” makes an easy-to-enamel substrate for further enameling (powdered glass fused to the surface). We’ll create designs for a circular form, then apply enamels on six-inch-diameter plates, fuse them to the plate by firing for a few minutes, and repeat the process in many successive layers. Techniques and types of enamels used will include sifting, sgraffito, poured-on liquid enamels, and more! There is a material fee of $20 due to the instructor on the first day of class.
